This Privacy Policy explains how Feels Local (the "Service") collects, uses, and shares information when you access or use our translation and localization platform, websites, and related services.
1. Scope
This policy applies to visitors, registered users, and business customers who access the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, your organization may control the data submitted to the Service.
2. Information We Collect
- Account data: name, email, authentication identifiers, organization details, and profile settings.
- Content you submit: text, subtitle cues, files (including documents, PDFs, and images), translation requests, language and style selections, glossary, phrasebook, and Brand Kit entries, and outputs you generate.
- Usage data: logs, feature usage, interactions, and performance data.
- Device and network data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Billing and plan data: your plan or access tier and billing contact details you choose to provide. If paid billing is enabled, payment details are handled by the payment processor; the Service does not accept full card numbers.
- Cookies and local storage: session tokens, preferences (such as theme), and usage counters stored in your browser.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including text, subtitle, image, and PDF localization, file handling, generated outputs, and automated quality checks.
- Personalize and improve features, performance, and user experience.
- Protect the Service against abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- Administer account access, plans, and billing contact information and, if paid billing is enabled, process subscriptions and invoices.
- Communicate product updates, security notices, and support responses.
4. Legal Bases (EEA and UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Service), compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the Service, including infrastructure hosting, authentication and storage, analytics and error monitoring, and AI model providers used for text, document, image, and quality-processing workflows. If paid billing is enabled, we may also share the information needed to process payments. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
6. AI Processing and Content Handling
We process the content and instructions needed to produce translations, visual localizations, document outputs, and automated quality checks. Relevant content may be transmitted to configured AI model providers on our behalf to deliver the requested workflow. Provider handling is subject to the provider terms and contractual controls that apply to that provider.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, operate plan-specific features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Customer-visible history may be session-only or retained for a limited period depending on the plan. You can delete your account in Settings where available, request a data export through the Service, or contact us about access, export, or deletion requests.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No security method is 100 percent secure, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers where required.
10. Your Rights and Choices
- Access, correct, or delete your information.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
To exercise these rights, use the available in-app account controls or contact us at rey@feelslocal.com.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised date.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Feels Local Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old or have legal authority to enter into these Terms.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid access is currently offered through a request or sales-assisted process; self-service checkout and automatic plan activation are not live. If paid billing is enabled for your account, the price, billing period, renewal, taxes, and cancellation terms shown in the applicable checkout or written order will govern, and access may be suspended for non-payment or chargebacks.
4. Usage Limits
Usage limits and tier-based features are described in the Service. We may throttle, limit, or restrict usage to enforce plan limits and maintain service quality.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or infringing activities.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, bypass rate limits, or interfere with the Service.
- Do not submit content that includes sensitive personal data unless you have a lawful basis and necessary consents.
6. Your Content and Licenses
You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Service and generate the outputs you request.
7. AI Outputs and Reliance
Outputs are generated by automated systems and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for legal, medical, or other high-risk decisions.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, software, and related materials are owned by Feels Local and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights except as expressly stated.
9. Third Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services, including infrastructure, authentication, storage, analytics and error monitoring, and AI model providers. Those services may process information as described in the Privacy Policy. If you access a third-party service directly, its terms may also apply.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm. You may stop using the Service at any time.
11. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Feels Local will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or revenue.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Feels Local from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Feels Local is established, unless otherwise required by law or agreed in a written order form.
